•  What is Far Infrared?

Infrared is an electromagnetic wave located between visible light and microwave. With a wavelength range of 0.76~1000 um. Infrared is divided into three wave types: Short, Near and Far Infrared.  Infrared found between 8-14 um is Far Infrared.  Far Infrared of 8~14um frequency is most optimal. Far infrared waves are thermal. In other words, we experience this type of infrared radiation every day in the form of heat. Unlike ultraviolet light, FIR is harmless to the body.

•  What does Far Infrared do?

The Far Infrared rays whose wavelength falls between 4 to 50 microns are commonly known as Biogenetic rays. Biogenetic rays have been proven to promote the healing and growth of living cells especially in humans, animals and plants.

Since the introduction of Far Infrared clothing in Japan and China nearly ten years ago, numerous studies on the therapeutic effects of Far Infrared products have been conducted. Recently, one clinical study Alternative Medicine Review “Journal of Clinical Therapeutics,” showed that there are significant improvements in both subjective measures of pain and discomfort associated with Raynaud's Syndrome.

• Pregnant women, because the possible effects of magnets on the fetus are not known

• People who use a patch to deliver medication through the skin, in case magnets cause dilation of blood vessels, which could affect the delivery of the medicine. This caution also applies to people with an acute sprains, inflammation, infection or wounds.

• Why use magnets in far infrared clothing and bands?

The use of magnets for arthritic pain has, until recently, been treated with scepticism. However, recent studies have been more positive towards their use. These include a placebo-controlled trial (Altrn Ther Health Med. 2004 Mar-Apr; 10 (2):36-43) wherein patients with osteoarthritis of the knee had significantly less pain after six weeks than the placebo group. Similarly, another double blind clinical study reported similar findings in Alter Ther Health Med. 2001 Sep-Oct; 7 (5): 54-64, 66-69.
